The Neuroprotective Adaptogens Course

Neuroprotective Adaptogens: Building Resilience in a Stressful World

This course 1 Hour/1 CEU explores the clinical application of adaptogenic herbs to support stress resilience, cognitive performance, and neuroendocrine recovery.

Through evidence-based insights, learners will examine how botanicals like rhodiola, schisandra, eleuthero, ashwagandha, and Korean ginseng modulate the stress response, protect brain function, and restore balance across key physiological systems.

Case-based scenarios, clinical research highlights, and synergistic formulation strategies guide practitioners in selecting and applying adaptogens for diverse patient presentations, ranging from burnout and cognitive fog to immune depletion and hormonal fatigue.

By the end of the course, learners will be equipped with actionable tools to integrate adaptogens into comprehensive wellness protocols.

In today’s clinical landscape, stress-related cognitive dysfunction is increasingly common—appearing as brain fog, fatigue, mood changes, and early cognitive decline. You’ll explore how chronic stress impacts brain health and how neuroprotective adaptogens—including Rhodiola, Schisandra, Ashwagandha, Eleuthero, and Korean Ginseng—can help restore clarity, calm, and resilience.

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the phases of the stress response (GAS model) and how chronic activation contributes to cognitive and emotional dysfunction.
  • Explain how adaptogens normalize physiological function.
  • Identify key molecular mechanisms of adaptogens, including modulation of JNK1, heat shock proteins (HSPs), neuropeptide Y (NPY), and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF).
  • Evaluate the clinical applications of specific adaptogens (e.g., Rhodiola, Ashwagandha, Eleuthero, Schisandra, Korean Ginseng) based on patient presentation.
  • Integrate adaptogenic support with foundational pillars of brain health such as sleep, glycemic stability, microbiome balance, and oxidative defense.

Self-paced CE Courses

These courses are offered as self-paced, self-directed learning, allowing you to start, pause, and resume your coursework whenever your schedule allows.

Your learning activity is monitored and, when applicable, reported to your licensing board. The system tracks the total amount of time you spend with a course open on your computer or mobile device.

Please allow up to four weeks for completed courses to appear on your CE transcript.
